Almost directly across the road is "Vesuvio", a standout eatery now brought to you by Richard Pepe the well-known restauranteur in Carmel. Since we stay just across the road, we walk by the front of Vesuvio many times during each visit. Invariably, the front of the restuarant is graced with a collection of really fine cars, no doubt all in for Car Week. The lighting in early evening is always compelling but this time, with the bougainvillias especially on fire,  I resolved to do a paintng of some sort to capture this moment. The Ferrari F12 is a worthy visitor between a Porsche GT3 and a Ferrari 488GTB. In the spirit of full disclosure, I should mention that there has been some artistic license in that a large evergreen immediately in front of the main door has been removed along with the "jut" in the sidewalk and pavement so that the F12 could take the prime position immediately in front of the door.
